Our Team
Microsoft-certified IT, run by people who answer the phone.
Nubitect is a local Chesterfield County IT shop built for small businesses in the Richmond, VA metro. We hold senior Microsoft certifications, we don't outsource, and we answer the phone when you call.
Leadership
Founder & Lead Engineer
Aaron Barlow
Founder & Lead Engineer
Chesterfield native, doing hands-on IT for small businesses in central Virginia since 2016. Holds three senior Microsoft certifications — AZ-305, AZ-104, and MS-102 — covering Azure architecture, cloud administration, and the full Microsoft 365 stack.
When you book a call, you get a skilled engineer on the phone — no ticket queue, no sales handoff, no junior tech reading from a script. Aaron leads the work and stays involved through to delivery.
“If the IT person you call doesn't know your business name, you're paying too much for too little.”
- AZ-305Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert — An expert-level Microsoft Azure certification. Validates designing identity, governance, data, business continuity, and infrastructure on Azure.
- AZ-104Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate — Hands-on cloud administration: identities, storage, compute, virtual networking. The day-to-day cloud operations cert.
- MS-102Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert — The whole Microsoft 365 stack: tenant + identity + Exchange + Teams + SharePoint + security baselines. Most local SMBs run on M365, and this is the cert that proves it's set up right.
Our Team
How the work gets done
Nubitect is intentionally small and founder-led. The work is organized into three lanes, and you work directly with the local person doing or leading the fix. No offshore help desk, no anonymous handoff. When something needs to happen on-site, we come to you.
On-Site Field Work
For new-office setups, device work, server checks, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and the hands-on pieces that need someone local in the room.
Handled directly by Nubitect; specialized cabling or licensed low-voltage work is coordinated clearly when needed.
Remote Support
Password resets, Microsoft 365 questions, Wi-Fi issues, email problems, and day-to-day fixes handled by the same small local shop you met on the first call.
No offshore help desk. No anonymous ticket maze.
Security, HIPAA, and AI Readiness
HIPAA Security Risk Analyses, cyber insurance questionnaires, MFA rollouts, security policy writing, Copilot readiness, and AI guardrails.
Founder-led work with plain-English documentation.
